Atelier Truchon

Atelier Truchon

The ceramist Julien Truchon creates and exhibits his creations in Corsica, in Patrimonio, between sea and mountain, a land from which he draws his inspiration. Immersed from a very young age in the universe of artistic and utilitarian ceramics by his father André, and aware of his attraction to the land, he studied ceramics at Saint Amand en Puisaye, in Burgundy and further deepened his knowledge thanks to internships with Pierre Dutertre, Guy Legrand, Claude Champy. In 2004 he won the SEMA Jeunes award for the Corsica region and concluded his training with an initiatory trip to Bizen, Japan, during which he met Japanese potters who practise traditional wood-firing.

Why QualityMade?

He is recognized as QM for the work of continuation and evolution of the handicraft tradition of artistic ceramics manufacturing.
