The farm produces sheep's cheese of the highest quality, with full respect for the environment and the animals. The farm is in Monterotondo Marittimo, on the Maremma hills bordering the three Tuscan provinces, in the context of the fascinating geothermal scenery. All the beauty of these places influences the quality of the products made.
Pecorino cheese is the 'flagship' product, made with special techniques, handed down through generations, that give rise to unique and refined flavours.
Fresh products, such as ricotta or milk flakes, are also very popular. Try the sheep's milk ice cream! In addition, the farm can be visited with trails for children.
To maintain complete energy self-sufficiency and at the same time generate minimal environmental impact Podere Paterno uses a double system, photovoltaic and geothermal. Thanks to these measures, the farm's products have obtained the Renewable Energy Food Community of Tuscany label.
