Rifugio Seremus

Surrounded by the woods of the Tuscan Maremma, Rifugio Seremus is an organic farmhouse on a hilltop a few kilometres from the sea: the 28-hectare estate offers a breathtaking view of the Val di Cornia. A stay at Rifugio Seremus is an immersion in nature characterised by a rich and preserved biodiversity, an ideal experience for contemplators, dreamers and lovers of nature in its purest state. The BIO-certified farm produces olive oil, honey and lavender essential oils.
At Rifugio Seremus, an ecosystem has been created according to permaculture principles, in which hundreds of plant species coexist: ancient and local fruit trees, aromatic and medicinal herbs, perennial vegetables, shrubs and lianas, bushes and flowers for pollinating insects. Completing the ecosystem is a pond now rich in aquatic, amphibious and flying plants. During a stay, it is possible to practise permaculture, collaborating in maintenance and harvesting operations.
Thanks to its location and the absence of any light pollution, Seremus is an ideal place for astronomical observation enthusiasts.
