3 days discovering villages perched in the Var region
- Early afternoon arrival in Tanneron, a beautiful village in the Alpes-Maritimes, graced by the scents and colours of Provence. The village has the fortune of being set in a region that is enchanting for its extraordinary natural resources, among which is the very special mimosa forest, the village’s iconic flower. Free time to stroll and discover the craft workshops in the narrow streets of the centre.
- Afterwards, transfer by private vehicle to Montauroux, a Provençal village dating back to the 11th century. Between narrow alleys, fountains and buttresses, you can discover the centre’s treasures, such as the Saint-Barthélemy Chapel, whose walls and vault are entirely covered with painted wood panels.
- Afterwards, dinner of your own choice and accommodation at Le Vallon des Oliviers.
- Overnight stay at the facility.
- Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by private vehicle to Seillans, considered one of the most beautiful villages in France, where you will be able to discover the architectural and historical heritage by following a picturesque walk in the heart of the medieval old town.
- Onwards to Fayance, a traditional Provençal village perched on the side of a hill, dominated by the Clock Tower from which you can enjoy an amazing 360° panorama. The village centre retains its winding alleys, shady squares and lively stalls. Access and visit to the Eco-Musée Agricole du Pays de Fayence. Located inside two old water mills dating back to the 13th and 18th centuries, at the foot of the village of Fayence, the eco-museum is dedicated to stone working, the creation of dry stone walls and the valorisation of silk, which in the past was an important part of the agricultural activity of the Var farmers.
- Lunch of your convenience during visits.
- In the afternoon, transfer by private vehicle to Tourrettes, another perched village from the top of which you can admire, in the background, the Esterel Massif and, on the horizon, the blue of the Mediterranean. Time at leisure to stroll through the ancient stone stairways and covered passageways of this ‘open-air village-museum’, where you can discover the more than 80 works of art by painters and sculptors displayed in the streets of the centre.
- Afterwards, dinner of your convenience and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
- Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by private vehicle to Callian, a picturesque medieval village that owes its charm to its narrow streets arranged in a spiral around the feudal castle.
- We will continue to Mons, located on a rocky spur at an altitude of 814 m, from which it is possible to admire, with clear skies, even Corsica. The parish church, dating back to the 12th century, has a rare set of 17th-century Baroque altarpieces, included among the historical monuments along with the processional crucifixes. La Chapelle Notre Dame de la Pitié (on the road from Callian) offers a beautiful view of the village.
