The Healthy Balance

The structure is an old grandparent's house, located in the historical centre of Casola in Lunigiana, a small village of stone houses, surrounded by the breathtaking spectacle of the Apuan Alps.
The house is on three floors. The old part, the lower one, has walls dating back to the 14th century.
It is composed of bedrooms and a common area: 3 rooms with external bathroom and a common terrace.
The communal area is indoors and consists of: living room with fireplace, library, and breakfast kitchen. Also in common is a terraced garden, which reaches down to the stream in the valley.
In the lower part of the house is a 2+2 flat with kitchen, terrace, fireplace and independent access.
The garden is perfectly integrated with the surrounding nature, where flowers as well as aromatic plants spread their fragrance through the different terraces. More than 350 square metres of greenery overlook the Tassonaro river and the chestnut woods. The garden has three main terraces for the exclusive use of guests, and two occupied by the kitchen garden and orchards.
On one of the lower terraces is the swimming pool. Delicately designed in a private corner, it allows guests to enjoy the wonderful Tuscan summers. The charm of this area is completed by the natural spring, and the ancient pool now inhabited by a colourful colony of goldfish and aquatic plants. The largest terrace, with its splendid view of the pedestrian bridge, is dedicated to various cultural and gastronomic events organised by the house or at the request of guests. The third terrace, the relaxation area, is dedicated to those who wish to relax under the shade of an olive or fig tree, drinking tea or reading a book.
In addition to the main meals, Ca'Luni offers the possibility of enjoying a tasty picnic in the garden, by the river, or wherever you prefer. All you need to do is book it a day in advance.
